Friday 4th October was World Smile Day. World Smile Day was set up to mark the creation of the 'Smiley' cartoon picture by Harvey Ball in 1963. The aim of the day is to 'Do an act of kindness and make soneone smile'!
We have celebrated this event for the last few years and it is something we should try to do on a daily basis! The pupils all came to school in something bright on the day and at breaktime we had a 'Smiley' treasure hunt in the playground. At assembly we spoke about why it was 'World Smile Day' and each class did something to make the others smile. Anya and Stephanie did a magic trick and miss Clark was their 'volunteer'. Mrs Noble's primary 3/4 class sang for us and did a great job.
We had a great day and we helped spread a little happiness.
