Primary 7 pupils have been busy with their new teacher, Miss McFarlane, working on how they can be good role models to eachother and to the other pupils in the school. They did some work in class about how they can make sure they get on with eachother and suggested some ways of dealing with situatins that crop up.
You can see more photos in the album called '09/10P7Posters'
Primary 7 have been learning about relationships and how to be a good role model for the rest of the school.
We worked collaboratively in our groups and made a poster with guidelines for the playground.
We then presented our results to the rest of the class and they gave us a rating on how well we worked together to produce our ideas.
Some of our coping strategies for problems in the playground included:
- Try your best to ignore them
- Count to ten
- Tell an adult if it’s really bothering you
- Think of something else
- Don’t retaliate
- If it is your fault say sorry
- Think like a kettle and let the steam out elsewhere
- Be civil
- Be sensible
- Be responsible
- Go to a different area in the playground/classroom.
And, most importantly be a good role model for the rest of the school!
