On the 30th of September on Tuesday class 4 primary 5 went to a museum on the south side of Aberdeen for our project Mary Queen of Scots. The museum was called Blairs Museum and used to be a college for boys. When we got there we were able to go into the chapel first to put our pack-lunches down on the pews (the wooden seats in the chapel) and then we could get our snack and run around in a huge playing field outside. Then we went in-side to have a talk about the chapel and the college. After that we got a worksheet to do for twenty minutes or so. A lady called Mandy told us what to do next. We had lunch in a small room and we filled all the seats so the adults had to sit on chairs with out a table. Lunch was brilliant and we got to play outside for ten minutes before going back inside to go to the museum. First we sat on the floor and Mandy told us about a portrait that was painted between Mary Queen of Scots death and her maid Elizabeth’s death. It was huge and dark. We looked at other portraits as well. On a few of the portraits the eyes followed you where ever you went. At the end we went to a gift shop to buy something if you had money. I bought a notebook and then we went to the bus because it was time to go back to school. I had a good time and thought I would go back another day.
