Characters- Matilda, Matilda’s Dad, Matilda’s Mum and Miss Honey.
Plot-
Well Matilda loves to read but she only had one book in her house and it was the cook book and she reads it every day! She asked her dad if he could take her to the shops to buy a new one but he said NO! You’ve got a TV, why would someone want a boring book anyway? I WOULD said Matilda. Her mum and dad didn’t like her so they went out to bingo every night and her brother went out to play and Matilda was left alone!
My opinion of the book:
I thought it was good because it was funny but it was also sad. My favourite bit in the book was when they were in the kitchen and her brother was calling her names like ‘Pie face’ or something like that so she threw a piece of chocolate at him and it hit him in the face!
