The pupils in P4 have been trying to be newspaper reporters! Here is a sample of their work. Well done everyone!
Surprised Santa at Christmas Fair
On Wednesday the 2nd December Strichen School had their Christmas Fair. I asked a couple of people what they thought about it. Jazmine said, “Primary 4 has amazing Christmas Tree sponges.” I spoke to Lucy and she said, “Santa is in the hall.” As soon as Lucy told me I rushed to the hall to interview him and he said, “Strichen School is really, really good and will get loads of presents this year.” So off I went to talk to the teacher of Primary 4 and asked how much they had raised. £52.50 – WOW, that’s quite a lot! So I would say, “Well done Strichen School!”

Christmas Fair Special
I have heard that Christmas has come to Strichen School. They baked cakes. I heard that P4 was the best! And in the afternoon Santa came. He was handing out lolly pops. P6 were selling lucky dips. Then I asked some people about it. I asked Lizzie and she said P4 is selling a lot of stuff. Then I asked Beth about the P4 stall. Beth said that in 20 minutes the P4 stall sold out. Nicola told me that it was really good because you got tea and coffee and raffles. Then I spoke to a girl called Lucy. She said it was excellent and she really liked Santa because she got a lollypop.

A Magical Christmas Fair
There were some amazing Christmas crafts at the Christmas Fair. Primary 4’s crafts sold out in 20 minutes, especially the baking! Alex told me that there was a special visitor in the hall so I rushed to the hall to see. The first thing I saw was a red and white person sitting on a chair. I thought for a minute then I remembered it was Santa Clause. I yelled out, “Hello Santa!!!” He looked at me and said, “Hello, do you want a lollypop?” “Yes please,” I said. So I thought and said to myself, “Mmmmmmmm that was a yummy lollypop.” After that I saw people going into class 6 saying, “I saw boxes with sweets in them.” I rushed inside and asked if I could buy one.

Fabulous Christmas Fair at Strichen School
I have been hearing that Strichen School had a Christmas Fair on the 2nd December. So I went to it and P4 were selling Christmas crackers that Nicola brought in that her gran made for her class to sell. P6 were holding a balancing challenge. You had to build a big tower before time runs out. I thought that was good. In the hall p7 were doing Lucky Dip. Also you got tea and coffee in the hall and raffles. I spoke to a girl called Lizzie and Lizzie’s sister won a raffle. I was shocked when I heard that because me as a reporter never won a raffle! I also heard that Santa was there handing out lollies.

Santa has a surprise at Strichen School
On Wednesday the 2nd December Strichen School had a Christmas Fair. It started at 4.00pm and ended at 5.30pm. Primary 1 and 2 were selling cookbooks and some cakes. Other classes were selling bird feeders, toffee, baking and a lot more. In their gym there were mince pies, juice, biscuits, tea and coffee. Also there were raffles and Mrs Thom won one. Santa was also there and he was giving out lollypops. Lizzie told me that the hall was crowded and that she could not get in. Quite a few people bought gift boxes from primary 6. I heard some of them had sweets in them. Then it ended and everyone went home. Jazmine said that she was counting the money from Primary 4.

A Superb Christmas Fair!
Class 4 sold out in 20 minutes! Superb games in class 5 and in the hall it was very busy with tea and coffee! I asked a few people to see what they were doing. Daniel said that everything was practically gone! In Class 3 there was a big, chocolate teddy bear. Santa! Santa was walking down the corridor giving lollypops to everyone! A boy called Alex didn’t get his cracker so he took Finlay’s. Soon the fair finished and everyone went home.

Christmas Fair Fun
I have heard that Christmas has come early to Strichen School because on Wednesday the 2nd December Strichen School had a Christmas Fair. There were stalls, lucky dips and even raffles. In the afternoon there was a visitor and guess who it was – it was Santa! A girl called Lucy told me that he was selling lolly pops so I dashed to the hall to find him. When I found him he said,”Put your letter up the chimney or send it in the post.” Then Santa gave me a lolly pop! I went through to P4 and to my shock there was nothing on their stall!
