Primary 4: What we did this summer!

Primary 4 have been very busy this summer as you can see by their pieces of writing for their teacher Mrs Veitch. We hope that you enjoy reading wboutr what they did. We are stil waiting for Mrs Veitch's story about her holidays!

Welcome to Primary 4’s first blog of this session. We wanted to tell you about our summer holidays. Hope you enjoy reading them!

 

I went to Lossiemouth with my family.  On Friday my gran and granda visited the caravan.  Then we went out a walk.  We saw a tent and a jeep.  After that we went to the beach.  I stayed there for seven days.

On Saturday I went to Nairn.  When we got there me and Millie got to pick our room first.   When me and my grannie were playing Hangman she got up to get her drink and I found a pill under the sofa.  My mum was shocked and was a bit angry.  Then we went swimming.  When Millie was playing in the water she got hit by a beach ball and mum was furious.  When we got back me, Caitlin and Millie went to versus on Cooking Mama 2.  Mum said we had to go to bed early because mum and granny had a funeral in Dundee.

I went to England on my summer holidays.  It was fun because I went on the Roller Coaster which was yellow and red.  After I went on the pirate ship and it felt weird but fun. Then I went on the Twister with my sister.  After I was dizzy because it took for ages. Then I went on the Surf Rider and it went high into the sky.  We got off then onto the Crazy Train.  Me and my sister Stephanie went on the scary train.  It wasn’t so scary so we said “Hi” and laughed to them.  After that we went back to the caravan and went to sleep.

I went to Edinburgh and I had a good time.  There was lots of stuff to do.  There was something funny about my holidays because my uncle got water up his nose and me and my little brother were laughing.  Then my little brother jumped on my back and we went under the water.  Josh fell off my back.  He jumped up and scared my aunty Diane.  She was scared out of her skin and there were some people I know.

I missed four days of school because I was going to South Africa. For a start I was sitting beside Waldo.  I asked where we were going to?  Theresa said “Paris and then Johannesburg.”  The first plane was two hours and the second plane was fifteen hours.  When I was at Johannesburg I felt sick.  Mum said “Don’t be silly.”  When we got home we got a new puppy.  It’s a cocker spaniel and its name is Brandy.  She’s black, brown and white and very cute.

On my summer holiday I went to Eurocamp in France.  I thought it was great.  One day we found a swimming pool at the camp.  I played with my friend in the pool but the pool was really cold and I was shivering.  I had another friend called Rohan.  His Dad provided a barbecue for our family and his family.  I always took Mum and Dad’s money up to the shop and bought a baguette and some chocolate croissants.  I thought they were excellent.  The tent was already set up for you.  We took our sleeping bag and there was a bed all set so we put our sleeping bag on it.  Me and my friend did a lot of table tennis but sometimes we lost the ball in the bush.

 

In Disneyland we stayed in a cowboy hotel.  Everyday we went on a bus to a different land.  I enjoyed a lot of rides but most of all I enjoyed a ride called BIG THUNDER MOUNTAIN!  My little brother got freaked out. I thought it rocks.  It was awesome.  The next day we went on a ride called Buzz Lightyear Lazer Blast.  You took a lazer blaster and shot Zurg the evil villain’s targets and you shot aliens as well.  It was great.  I slept in a bunk bed.  On my journey back I remembered Big Thunder Mountain with water and darkness and scary corners.

On my summer holidays I went to Northern Ireland to see my granny and all my relations.  I had a great time.  My cousins built a new house and its handy because there is a little lane that I run down. I have a lot of cousins.  Every night we went to find slugs then we fed them to the chickens.  They locked me in with the chickens and it was not fun.

It was Tuesday the 14^th of July and the first thing I remember was it was Adam’s birthday.  I jumped up and ran downstairs because it was so exciting.  I had breakfast, got dressed and did my teeth.  Mum rang Fiona and she said she would come in 5 minutes.  We went to the beach and Jack came as well..  After a while Fiona came as well so we went inside.  We had our lunch then it was time for dessert.  There was Haribos, Malteser and many more.  We had the cake and Fiona went home.

 

I went to Cullen on my holiday.  Gemma, Adam, Martha and Mum came.  Dad stayed at home with Seamus and Dan.  But Dad brought us to Cullen because Mum had all the food.  When we got there Granny, Antie Judy and my granpa were there.  After a while Mum came and Dad went home.  We had tea and got some icecream.  Adam and Martha were upstairs playing dogs.  So me and Gemma asked Mum if we could go to the beach.  Mum said yes so me and Gemma went across the road to the beach.  There was nothing to do so we went home to bed z z z z z.

I went to Forfar and I stayed there for a week.  It was very expensive.  It was a hundred and twenty six pounds.  Mum put up the awning and the playpark was massive.  There were two monkey bars.  One of the monkey bars was tricky to get across but the other set of monkey bars was easy to get across.  When I went away with my bike I bashed the gate open and our caravan was right next to the playpark.  When I was at the top of the caravan site my chain came off so I had to put it back on.

On my holiday I went to the Gower Peninsula and stayed with my cousins.  Their dad is my dad’s brother.  My cousins are called Matthew, Michael, Christopher and Paul.  After that we went camping right next to the beach.  We had sausages and burgers every night.  Then we went to my grandma’s and stayed for six nights.  We went to the Tower of London.

On my holidays on my birthday me and my friend called Cameron went to the cinema.  We were watching Aliens in the Attic.  There was a guy called Tom.  He was cool.  There was a good alien called Sparx.  Tom said “sweet” then Sparx said it.

The start of my holidays me and mum and Granny and Granda went to Huntly for two days.  After Huntly we went to Grantown on Spey.  I liked chasing all the rabbits.  It was so fun I so wish I took my bike.  I put pegs on my Granda’s toes and it was so so funny!!!  I liked it so much.  When we got home we had dinner.

My cousin Marni came over for 2 weeks.  We went to Landmark and my sister was in line for 1 and a half hours.  There was a kid’s skywalk and I nearly fell off but I made it!  My dad went to Dublin to see Metallica.  My dad said it was good.  We went to Edinburgh and I got a monkey called Matty the monkey.  Then we went home.  At home we played lots of games and had lots of fun.  In Landmark I went on the flumes and the motor bikes. There were little cars which were fun.  We went up a big tower and went down a slide.  I hurt myself and it was sore.  Marni came from America and had lots of gum.  Her dad came as well.

On my holiday I went to my nana’s for three days.  The next day we went to Banchory caravan site for a week.  Then I came home and my friend came round.  On Wednesday my dad got a van for my quad bike and my dad,s 125 bike.  One day me and my dad went to the quarry in Peterhead.

On the 20^th July it was my 8^th birthday!  My biggest and favourite present was from my mum and dad and it was a bedroom makeover.  It was a high bed with a desk and a sofa-bed underneath.  My other presents were stationery, 3 DS games, 2 Wii games, 1 CD, heaps of clothes, wellies, 2 DVDs, 1 book, 5 pairs of socks, a Nintendogs cuddly dog and bone, 1 nightie and sunglasses with a sunglasses case.  I probably got more but that’s all I can remember.  The bedroom makeover is great!  But I sometimes bump my head on the ceiling.  The border has got purple stripes and my walls are Dewberry.  The sofa-bed is pink and it’s a sofa that folds out to a bed.  The desk is just a desk with shelves.

 On my summer holiday I went to Annandale.  I went on Wednesday and Friday. I rode on Breeze and I loved it.

On Saturday I stayed at home and watched a programme about 3 girls called Stevie, Leisa and  Carol and also lots of horses and ponies.  The name of the programme was the Saddle Club.

On Thursday I went to the fair. I went on the Crazy Train and the Apple ride, bumper cars and I went on all the rides.

I went to the Shetland Islands with my grandad and granny then we drove to my uncle Martin’s place.  We stayed for one night.  On Sunday me and my uncle Martin went to the swimming pool.  Next we went into the swimming pool.  We went down the North slide.  It was very dark and fast.  The South slide was slow and light.  Then I went on a  thingy with penguins at the front.

I went to Doonie’s Farm and I loved seeing all the animals.  There were sheep, cows, lambs and many more.  I went in the park in Doonie’s Farm and me and Gemma went on the slide.  We pretended it’s a pirate ship.  It is so fun I had a great time going to see the lambs because I got to feed them with a bottle.  They drank it very fast, it was so fun.  Then we went to a fish and chip shop and it was yum.  After that we went home.

 

On the fifteenth of August I went to my cousin’s and her friend’s party.  It was a bit crazy.  There were tons of balloons.  I got 3 balloons which were purple, blue and pink.  I got to be my cousin’s friend’s escort.  It was so fun, I absolutely loved it.

 

In my holiday I went to Stonehaven.  I went to a racing place.  The day we went you could ride in the cars.  My dad’s favourite was the Audi.  I went on the kids’ quads and you could race against eachother.  It was so fun.  I came   and it was absolutely so cool.

 

I went to Codona’s and it was really fun.  I went on the bumper cars 2 times with Zoe my cousin.  I got to drive and it was crazy.  I also went on the apple coaster.  I was screaming when we were going downhill.  We also went on the swinging boat.  I was scared when it went up but Gemma was laughing her head off.

On Tuesday my cousin got a new springer spaniel.  His name is JJ.

On Monday I went to a caravan site. It was really fun and it was at Dumfries.  I met my auntie there and she had a caravan as well

I went to Sundrum Castle and I stayed at a caravan site.  It has a park which was really fun.  We went to the fair and I went on a roller coaster.  It went zig zag at the top.  At night we went to the entertainment.  When we were there we played bingo then Milly and Maxi were dancing on the dance floor and Milly sat in Robert’s buggy.  After the roller coaster I went to a diving show.  It has 5 people diving, I loved it.

On my holiday I went to Hopeman in the caravan.  The first thing I did was play with my swingball then we went to the beach with my dogs.  I took off my clogs and went in the water which was cold.  We went back to the caravan and thought what we were going to have for supper from the Chinese.  We walked to the Chinese and looked at the menu.  I said that I wanted chicken fried rice and chips.  We went in and ordered then we sat down and looked at the pictures.  Finally our supper was ready to take back to the caravan.  We ate our supper then watched TV then it was time for bed.  I brushed my teeth and went in my sleeping bag.  The next day my mum wanted to go to Elgin so we went there and looked in the shops for a dress for me for my cousin Nicola’s wedding.  I got shoes and a bag and bobbles.  We went back to the caravan and blew up the boat.  Me and my step-dad Andrew got our wetsuits on and my mum and dogs and me and Andrew walked to the beach.  Andrew put the boat in the water and I went into the boat.  We went really far.  Mum was holding Senga and Hamish.  Finally we were back. Then I gave Andrew my net to catch fish but when he came back there was a giant crab.
