We have a session in the gym hall every week.
We warm up first, usually by participating
in some Sticky Kids songs.
We use some of the equipment from the gym hall and practice our skills. We use balls, hoops, ribbons, Frisbees or beanbags.
We use the ribbons to make up our own dances and moves. Sometimes we copy Mrs Gibb and do the same as her.
Here we are trying to throw and catch the beanbags. Some people throw a little bit hard but we will keep up the good work.
We played a game with Mrs Hendry. She had to get all the beanbags out of the box before the children got them back into the box again. This game is great fun and we have to work together as a team if we want to win the game. When the box is empty the adult has to lift the box up and they have won.
We have used the parachute in gym to play a listening game. When the teacher calls out we get the chance to go under the parachute with our friends. This picture shows the girls under the parachute.
We have borrowed a co-operative band from Oldmeldrum library to use this term. This means everyone has to work together and pull it back at the same time to stretch it out.
Before we go back to nursery we have a cool down or a relaxation time. This reduces our heartbeat and then we are ready for our snack.
Going to the gym hall is great fun and we have an enjoyable time there.
